Welcome House

At h|d architecture, we designed the Welcome House Renovation project with the goal of enhancing the facilities of this vital residential program for men recovering from addiction. Our design philosophy centers around creating a space that fosters recovery, community, and personal growth, combining functionality with a welcoming atmosphere to ensure residents feel at home while accessing the resources they need for their recovery journey.

In collaboration with Forge Construction, we brought this vision to life. Their expertise in construction management and execution was instrumental in realizing the intricate design details and ensuring the project was completed to the highest standards.

The 3-story, 30,000 square foot structure features a combination of cast-in-place and stick frame construction. The first level houses offices, dining, and group counseling areas, while the upper floors are dedicated to residential spaces and common areas. We emphasized natural light, open spaces, and a calming color palette to create a serene and uplifting environment. Our architectural approach ensures that the design not only meets the practical needs of the residents but also supports their emotional and psychological well-being.
