Expanding Care Through Adaptive Reuse
One year ago, we helped bring to life a project that goes beyond bricks and mortar—expanding care, strengthening community connection, and supporting cross-state growth.
h|d Architecture is proud to celebrate the one-year anniversary of AdventHealth at Stateline & 103rd, a thoughtfully executed adaptive reuse project located on the Kansas–Missouri border. A former CVS Pharmacy was transformed into AdventHealth’s first primary care clinic in Missouri, accelerating delivery while reducing material waste and reinvigorating a familiar neighborhood site.
The renovation reconfigured the existing footprint to meet modern healthcare standards, resulting in a welcoming, high-performing facility that supports same-day appointments and whole-person care. The project also includes PT Solutions Physical Therapy, further expanding access to outpatient services and establishing the site as a comprehensive healthcare destination.
This project reflects the power of adaptive reuse to support regional expansion while maximizing the value of existing buildings—and reinforces our commitment to designing flexible, community-focused healthcare environments.
