BelongKC Groundbreaking

h|d Architecture is proud to celebrate the groundbreaking of BelongKC, an innovative supportive housing community that will provide adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) the opportunity to live independently while remaining connected to a vibrant, inclusive community.

Developed by Inclusion Connections, BelongKC represents a transformative investment in the Kansas City region. The 72,000-square-foot development will feature thoughtfully designed apartment homes, shared community spaces, and amenities that encourage independence, meaningful relationships, and long-term wellbeing. The project is designed to address the growing need for affordable, supportive housing while creating opportunities for residents to thrive through customized supports and community partnerships.

The groundbreaking marks a significant milestone after years of planning, collaboration, and community support. Once complete, BelongKC will become a place where adults with IDD have the opportunity to choose where and how they live, fostering dignity, independence, and a true sense of belonging.
